OUR MISSION
Technology is a bridge to independence. Savvy Seniors helps older adults use technology with confidence so they can stay connected, safe, and independent.
HOW WE GOT STARTED
Savvy Seniors started when I watched my grandparents, some of the smartest people I know, struggle with their phones. They didn't lack ability; no one had ever sat down and shown them. My friends felt the same way, and helping our own families grew into a youth-led nonprofit run entirely by high school students across North Carolina.
HOW WE OPERATE
Independent Living Visits
We bring about 20 student volunteers to independent living facilities to answer personal tech questions. We also teach short lessons on topics like online safety, AI, or whatever residents want to learn.
Community Events
We host friendly, hands-on tech help at local churches and community spaces. Bring your device and your questions.
One-on-One Meetings
Need personal help? We'll meet you at a comfortable public spot, like a local coffee shop, and work through it together.
OUR LEADERS
Meet the students leading Savvy Seniors at each of our schools.
